Winter Carnival Activities at the Museum
It's that time of year!
It's time for another Rossland Winter Carnival, and we're celebrating with outdoor, family-friendly activities all weekend!
Drop by the museum 10 am - 5 pm Saturday and Sunday to get lost in our snow maze, enter our annual snowman-building competition, try our toboggan run, sip a hot drink, compete in our snow races, and soak up the warmth of our campfire!
Entrance by donation all weekend.
Proof of vaccination will be required for all staff, volunteers, and attendees at this event.
Saturday, January 29th:
Snow maze, campfire, tobogganing, snow painting, hot chocolate & hot apple cider available all day!
Snow Races: 1 pm - 2 pm
Snowman-building Contest: build all day, winners announced Sunday at 4 pm
Maple Taffy at 12:30, 2:30, and 3:30 pm
Sunday, January 30th:

All activities are contingent on COVID-19 case numbers and Public Health Orders.
We’re also preparing a new outreach exhibit for you!
Curated by our Collections Intern, Phoebe, Storming the Fort will explore the snowshoe races of the early Winter Carnivals. Storming the Fort will be on display in the Curiosity Clothing & Gifts window from January 22nd through February 5th.
