Recognizing k̓maʔrqn̓: Territory Sign Unveiling

Join us at the Rossland Museum from 4-6 pm on Friday, June 14th as we unveil a territory acknowledgement sign to recognize k̓maʔrqn̓ and the Sinixt people on whose unceded tmxʷúlaʔxʷ we live and work. We'll also be showing a new short film, Learning mxiɬp, in our theatre, and provide plenty of time for everyone to admire the sign and mix and mingle over snacks.

PRESS RELEASE: Sliding Rossland's History into the Digital Age

The Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre has been awarded a digitization grant from Library & Archives Canada to preserve and make accessible its multimedia collection! A major grant of $21,417 from Library & Archives Canada’s Documentary Heritage Communities Program will help the RMDC upgrade its scanning technology and digitize and rehouse approximately 1,500 of the photographic slides in its collection.
